Actors are rewarded for the quality of their following a script. They are to present the story or message with all the passion demanded regardless of the truth or lack thereof in that script; in fact, they do not need to know anything about the facts in the material.
Imagine you’re a sewage worker, and sewage workers give themselves awards — which, of course, is rather narcissistic of sewage workers.
You’re at a sewage workers award love-fest.
Then an award winner gets on a soap box and starts ranting about politics, the election, and Donald Trump.
You would think:
“Why is a sewage worker pontificating about politics? What makes a sewage worker an expert on the election? And why are we listening to this drivel?”
Now substitute the words “sewage workers” with the words “movie actors” . . . .
